Nicolas Abouchaar is a quadrilingual mechanical and industrial engineer with degrees from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and the Imperial College London. He has 12 years of experience in the automotive industry, working with major companies such as Visteon (the Climate Control Division of Ford) and Valeo Climate Control across France, Germany, and the UK. Nicolas is the author of a few utility and design patents.
After his time in Europe, Nicolas expanded his expertise into other sectors. From 2010 to 2012, he led wheelchair production at Arcenciel in Taanayel, Lebanon. In 2013-2014, he launched a wooden-frame house activity for the Indevco Group. His entrepreneurial work in the mobility sector was recognized in 2016 when he became a finalist in the Brilliant Lebanese Awards competition organized by BLC Bank.
Nicolas Abouchaar founded PHOENUS in 2008 after selling a patent to the Behr/Mahle Group for €90,000. Over the past 15 years, he has successfully implemented the company in the children and adult mobility sector.
Today, PHOENUS serves more than 30 business clients, including schools, NGOs, municipalities, and resorts, who rely on its robust and customizable mobility solutions.
